Chief Executive Officer

Bernie Sostak

Bernie is a geologist with over 35 years’ experience in the gold mining industry with his most recent role as General Manager of Business Development and Technical Services for ASX listed Company Northern Star Resources. During that time he was responsible for growing the Company and teaming to acquire four new mines. Prior to this, Bernie was Director of Resource and Reserve Strategy for Barrick Gold Corporation. His experience includes mine geology, resource estimations, exploration, mine planning and operations management.

Chairman (Non-Executive Director)

Ray Parry

Ray holds degrees in accounting and finance and an MBA in International Business. He is a Fellow member of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ray has over 35 years’ experience in sectors including Mining, Manufacturing, Banking, Oil & Gas. He has held the position of CFO/Company Secretary for a number of ASX listed companies including Troy Resources, Millenium Minerals and Norther Star Resources and has also been the CFO of Hanking Gold Mining. Other roles included senior management positions at St. Barbara, Kerr McGee (USA) / Tronox & Bankwest.

Non-Executive Director

Michael Hulmes

Michael is a mining engineer with over 35 years experience in mining operations and projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, China and Tanzania. Prior roles also included General Manager Caijiaying Zinc/Gold Mine, Neves-Corvo and Aguablanca Mines in Portugal and Spain, Ok Tedi Mine in Papua New Guinea, COO for Citadel Resources and Managing Director of Somincor during the development of the Jabal Sayid deposit in Saudi Arabia, General Manager – Australian Operations for Barrick Australia with responsibility for five mines.

General Counsel and Operations Manager (North America)-Interim

J Edward Short

Mr. Short is a licensed attorney in the State of Washington with over 25 years of legal experience in the mining sector.  He has served as General Counsel, General Manager and Director of multiple privately held and publicly traded mining companies.  Most notably he served as General Manager and General Counsel from 2003-2013 with Sunshine Precious Metals Incorporated, owners of the Historic Sunshine Mine in Kellogg, Idaho.   He has extensive experience in the Northwest Region of the United States, also serving as a Director on multiple Public Utility Boards as well serving on the U.S. Forest Service Resource Advisory Committee for Northern Idaho.  Mr. Short is currently General Counsel for Transatlantic, a position he has held since 2013.  He has proven ability in project management and permitting with a cost effective approach in a safe and efficient manner

Chief Financial Officer

Yuying Liang

Ms. Liang is a principal and director of Canmore Financial Services Inc., which provides financial reporting services and full-service accounting to private and public companies in a variety of industries. Ms. Liang has extensive experience in the public company environment, and has provided services such as financial reporting, company filings, and quarterly and annual budgets. Ms. Liang earned her bachelor of business administration from Simon Fraser University and holds the professional designation of chartered professional accountant (CPA).
